KR Academy has robust, year round programs and camps that cater to the development of aspiring Freestyle Skiers in a fun, engaged and integrative approach.
We partner with various Resorts, Clubs, Provincial and National Sports Organizations, Schools, and the Canadian Sport Institute to bring you the best possible programming - to meet you where you are at in your athletic pathway and to elevate you to where you dream to go... everything is possible.

The High Performance Program is targeted at athletes on the competitive pathway competing at the CanDev and NorAm levels, or those aspiring to reach them. Led by Olympian coaches, athletes develop technical skiing, aerial skills, competition readiness, and overall athletic performance through year-round training opportunities.
The camps include winter on-snow training, trampoline and water ramp camps, strength and conditioning, video analysis, and sport science support, providing a comprehensive high-performance environment designed for long-term success in freestyle skiing.

The Junior Performance Camps are designed for motivated freestyle athletes, ages 12–14, who are looking to increase their training volume, refine their skills, and gain experience in a high-performance training environment.
Athletes develop across all freestyle disciplines while beginning to trend toward moguls through structured on-snow, trampoline, and water ramp training. In addition to technical skill development, athletes are introduced to the habits of a high-performance athlete, including strength and conditioning, movement quality, recovery, nutrition, goal setting, and personal responsibility.
Led by experienced coaches, these camps provide a fun, supportive, and challenging environment while preparing athletes for competitions such as the Timber Tour, Junior Nationals, and the CanDev pathway.

These camps are designed for young freestyle athletes, ages 9–12 who are looking to progress their skills, increase their number of training days, access high-level coaching and facilities, and be part of a fun, inclusive, and supportive team environment.
Athletes will develop skills across all freestyle skiing disciplines through age-appropriate training focused on strong fundamentals, confidence, athleticism, and safe progression. Whether new to competition or building toward higher levels of performance, these camps provide an excellent opportunity for athletes to learn, grow, and have fun.

Be prepared for your camps... they include your high level coaching and activities, but please book your own travel, bring your own gear, and expect extra costs for lane fees, lift tickets or facility fees. Accommodations may be arranged for you and cost split with participants in the team housing if available (camp dependant), but if you are coming as a family or are under 16 years old, you can book independently or request a rate at our partner hotel at the Tantalus Lodge (Whistler Camps Only).

This is a robust year-round program designed for ambitious athletes aiming for Provincial, National, and International level competition. It bridges the gap between Club programming and the next steps in an athlete’s career, offering training camps at world-class venues such as Whistler, Apex, Mt. Hood, SilverStar, and Austria. With 120+ training days per year, athletes are supported by sport science, strength & conditioning, and professional coaching to achieve their competition goals.
Annual start date: June 15th 2026 to June 15th. 2027 (pro-rated options for starting later)

This program supports the progression of young athletes learning to compete, building on strong technical foundations while introducing them to structured training and competition. Athletes follow a yearly training plan with winter training and seasonal camps to continue their development. The emphasis is on competition readiness, technical progression, and sport science support to prepare athletes for higher-level pathways.

This program introduces young athletes to a consistent training environment with progressions across all freestyle disciplines. The focus is on safe skill development, fun, and an introduction to competition. Athletes will learn spins in all directions, grabs, and inverts on water ramps, landing bags, and snow. They will also progress from boxes to rails, build strong fundamentals on flats that lead into mogul turns, and explore big mountain terrain in a safe and playful way.

We have partnered with UNISUS School in Summerland, BC, to offer one of the best and unique curriculums in the world. The UNISUS Scholar-Athlete program combines a world-class International Baccalaureate education with a holistic, focused approach to sports that is year round and integrated into the curriculum.

This program is catered to the athlete striving for excellence and the next level of their career in mogul skiing.
Offering robust, high-level mogul training that is fully integrated with our High Performance and Junior Performance teams, complete with Strength and conditioning, sport sciences, and video feedback and analysis. Training runs 5-6 days per week with scheduled holiday breaks, and includes opportunities to compete in events if available.
In addition to athlete training, we also offer coach mentorship opportunities, allowing coaches to shadow one of our High Performance coaches, gain valuable hands-on experience, and enroll in coaching courses (where available) to work toward certification.

All participants must have valid out-of-country medical insurance as well as current Freestyle BC / Freestyle Canada club-level memberships to meet sanctioning requirements. Please register with the KRA Annual Membership prior to completing your program registration.

The programs and curriculum support athletes in the difficult transition between a grassroots Club program, and the next stage of their development. We work closely with our International and National Sport Organizations to ensure a smooth and supported pathway for each unique athlete, specifically targeted at the 'Train to Train' , 'Learn to Compete' and 'Train to Compete' levels.
